PFC SOCCER ACADEMY

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SOCCER

What We Do

At Peace for Conservation Soccer Academy ( PFC Soccer Academy). we harness the transformative power of soccer to uplift young people across Tanzania – especially those in communities bordering our National Parks and Game Reserves. By identifying promising players who might otherwise turn to wildlife poaching and risk imprisonment, we guide them toward becoming professional soccer athletes who champion elephant conservation as proud “Elephant Soccer Ambassadors. ”

CEO - Peace for Conservation

CEO's Vision

“One day, I want to see the son of a former poacher playing for the Tanzanian National
Team.”

Mr. Kabambo dreams of establishing a residential PFC Soccer Academy where youth are not only trained in football but are also educated in conservation, environmental stewardship, and social entrepreneurship.

The Academy will run evening programs that will focus on uniting youth against wildlife crime and offering hands-on training through football and education.

Academy Program Offerings

  • Art for Wildlife (ARTS4WILDLIFE): Training youth in wildlife-themed art to generate alternative income through tourism sales. The program embeds conservation education in each artwork.
  •  Eco-Tourism and Hospitality Training: Courses in tour guiding and cookery will prepare players for employment opportunities tied to Serengeti tourism. Training includes preparing lunch boxes for park visitors.
  • Beekeeping and Hive Making: Youth will learn to construct beehives, manage apiaries, and harvest and process honey—skills that generate income while promoting environmental awareness.
  • Fashion and Design (Trissie Designs): Girls and boys will be trained in tailoring and textile design, creating African garments, batiks, and handbags to be sold to tourists.
  • Recycling Technology: The academy will offer training in producing briquette
charcoal and livestock feed from agricultural waste—mitigating climate change while offering sustainable livelihoods.

Peace for Conservation and RCCL Tanzania are not only creating footballers; they are building ambassadors, entrepreneurs, and environmental stewards. Through the power of sport, youth are given the tools to rise beyond circumstance and protect the future of both their communities and Tanzania’s majestic elephants.
